Take the day from Vilnius to explore Trakai, the lakeside town and castle which was erected in the 14th century. Home to Lithuanians, Karaims, Tatars, Russians and Poles, this tour will not disappoint as it meanders through the history of Lithuania with a stop at the Hill of Angels.
Optional restaurant visit to sample some Lithuanian classics, but also free time for water activities, exploring the castle (10€) and visiting shops 🏰

The end of World War 2 might have been a victory for the allies but for Lithuania and the Baltics it began a decades long cultural and social repression under the Soviet Union and in particular Stalinist policies.. but not without resistance!

The Crusades typically conjures up images of white-robed and chain-clad knights battling on the dry and dusty ramparts of castles near Jerusalem, but what if we told you that Lithuania had to defend against it’s own kind of crusades? The Northern Crusades!
Includes a visit to the largest battle re-enactment festival in the world! ⚔️

Who are we?
Tour Lithuania is a bespoke travel agency situated in the capital and heart of the country, Vilnius. We bring together years of travel and adventure experience from around the world, with our founder James Armour having driven a motorbike 5,000km across India and set a world record swim-run in the Outer Hebrides of his native Scotland.
Now living with his Lithuanian wife and son in the capital, he imagines and realises tours and experiences for internationals (and locals) who want to discover this beautiful country he now calls home.
